“People who attended the 2016 International Kids Conference described it as, ‘amazing, powerful, anointed, life-changing, and the best IKC yet.’” — Pastor Mike Muzzerall

The theme of the 2016 International Kids’ Conference was “Growing In Grace” taken from II Peter 3:18: “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.” I know we saw that happen during this year’s IKC and we give God all of the glory.

THE FUN WAY TO LEARN ABOUT JESUS

Each year, the goal for IKC is to produce a conference whereby boys, girls, and the adults who attend these services experience the precious moving of the Holy Spirit. Our own Grace Brumley said it best when she was around 9 years old. She described the Salvation Station Kids’ Camp as, “The fun way to learn about Jesus.”

This year we had children from 16 states participate. The child who traveled farthest was a young boy from the Big Island of Hawaii. To his parents, I would like to say, Aloha and mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for traveling such a great distance to see your son ministered to by the Spirit of God.

RECORD NUMBERS ATTENDED

The conference started on Wednesday, June 8, in a joint service with Crossfire. We had 569 people participate in that service! We had record numbers in attendance at every service. Thank you Jesus! The Crossfire worship team ushered in the presence of the Holy Spirit with their anointed singing and exhortation. From then on, the Salvation Station worship team, under the leadership of Pastor Justin Reese and Sister Tara Montpetit, ministered under a heavy anointing.
Two services a day included the ministry of these pastors: Scott Corbin from Spartanburg, South Carolina; Mario and Torrance Nash from Columbus, Mississippi; students from World Evangelism Bible College, children’s evangelist Angela Schneiderman, and me. All of us saw children and adults fill the altars as they yielded their lives to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

LIVES FOREVER CHANGED

Throughout the conference, the kids had great meals and lots of fun in the afternoons with different exciting activities. But it was during the services where we saw—and know—that their lives were forever changed. Not only did we see children coming down to the altars to be ministered to, but we also saw children laying hands on one another as children and adults were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

This year, we were able to present some of the services live on the Internet. We had people from across America and other nations view our postings. One lady from Maryland saw the children at the altars worshipping Jesus Christ. She was so touched that she bought an airline ticket and came down to see it with her own eyes! To God be the glory!

APPRECIATION AND PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR

It takes a lot of effort from a whole lot of people to be prepare and put on a children’s conference. I want to thank Brother and Sister Swaggart and the administrative team for their help and support, housekeeping, security, and the men and women who worked so unselfishly so that the children could be ministered to.

As for next year’s IKC, we’ve already started planning for it. The dates will be June 7-10, 2017, so please make your plans to attend and get blessed!
