From me to you by Jimmy Swaggart
Dec 2015

First of all, I want to say to you and yours merry Christmas, and we trust that it will be the best you’ve ever had. And to be sure, if the Lord lives within your heart and your life, whatever else there might be, still, you can rejoice accordingly.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS

I would pray that you would take full advantage of the offers made in this issue of The Evangelist. Any of these offers would make the greatest Christmas gifts in the world. For instance, as it regards The Expositor’s Study Bible, there would be no greater gift than that, and on top of that, we are giving you—with each Bible that you purchase (with the exception of the New Testaments)—a copy of our daily devotional The Expositor’s Word For Every Day. This makes a double-barreled offer that is absolutely exceptional. Whatever you do, you must take advantage of it.

Let me give you an example of how it works: The Expositor’s Study Bible Regular Edition sells for $100 (catalog price), and the The Expositor’s Word For Every Day sells for $30, making a total of $130 for both items. With this offer, as it regards this particular Bible, you are getting both for just $60 plus shipping and handling. What an offer!

TELEVISION

By the time you receive this copy of The Evangelist, we should be airing our television programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. We are going into nearly 900,000 homes in these indigenous areas. How we thank the Lord for the privilege and the opportunity. So please pray that God will use the programming in a great way in these countries. Incidentally, these countries are English-speaking countries.

As well, we’ve just gone on a cable system in the greater Houston, Texas area that covers nearly 700,000 homes.

There is another system that covers more than 2 million homes and we should be airing over it shortly. All of that puts us into 85 million homes in the U.S., airing 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are 115 million homes in America that have a television set, and we feel we must be on in every one of them.

Every person needs to have the opportunity, and desperately so, to hear the Message of the Cross, whether they take advantage of it, or not. Along with that, we are on in nearly 200 million homes in foreign countries, not counting the satellites or the Internet, etc. In fact, I’m told that some 2 billion people on this planet can tune into the SonLife Broadcasting Network if they so desire. How we thank the Lord for this tremendous privilege and opportunity.

AND LET ME SAY ONE MORE THING TO YOU

Without you, we couldn’t do this, irrespective of the fact that God has called us. We can only work together, and that is the will of God. He has called us to do this, and He has called you to make it possible. To say thank you, seems to be woefully insufficient. But yet, I know that what you do is not for Jimmy Swaggart, but is rather for the Lord. Thank you for your prayerful and financial support.

PRAY

We should make it a matter of prayer as it regards who the next president of the United States will be. This is critically important as I’m certain that you well know. The Lord has a will in this thing, and let’s ardently seek His will.

VISITORS

Every Sunday morning we have visitors from all over the world at Family Worship Center. How so very pleased and happy we are to have these guests. Many of these people are ardent supporters of the SonLife Broadcasting Network. And to have them in service is something that we think is special.

Incidentally, we are averaging over 100 people a week who are joining the Family Worship Center Media Church. Many of you hear us read out their names (at least their first names) every Sunday morning. The reason we only read the first names is to protect the privacy of these individuals. But to be sure, we are so glad to have you as a part of this great work for God. Your presence, your participation, and your being a part of us makes it a little easier for us to get this work done. Thank you!

CAMPMEETING

The dates are November 25-29 and it’s going to be a blockbuster. Whatever you do, if it’s possible for you to be with us, do so! I know that most of you cannot come, but I know that many of you can.

As far as I know, there are no campmeetings in the world that are being conducted today quite like those at Family Worship Center. So, if it’s at all possible, you should take full advantage of it. It is some of the greatest music and singing and worship in the world. Some of the greatest preaching and teaching also, we think, in the world today. But with you present, it will be a little bit better. I’m going to look for you!
