The Word Of The Lord
Something happened the other day at the conclusion of one of our programs, The Message of the Cross. It was only a few minutes before the time would run out when the Spirit of God began to move, and began to move greatly. This happens oftentimes, for which we are so grateful.
I then gave an opportunity for people to accept Christ, and hopefully we had some saved as a result of the moving of the Holy Spirit in this capacity.
When the program ended, the Lord spoke something to my heart. He said, “Wherever this signal goes in the world, My Spirit will go with it, resulting in souls being saved, believers being baptized with the Holy Spirit, the sick being healed, and bondages broken—all by My Spirit.”
Now that much I knew. In fact, I doubt there are very many people in the world who know more about what television can do than I do. But the Lord, I believe, had something else in mind.
A Harvest Of Souls
I believe the Lord was telling me that He was going to move to such an extent—move with a mighty anointing of the Spirit by and large greater than anything we have ever seen—that it is going to result in untold numbers being brought to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and also with many being baptized with the Holy Spirit.
As I said last month in The Evangelist, I don’t really see a revival coming to the church world. I pray I’m wrong, but I don’t see it. However, I do see a harvest of souls, which can be brought about by the Spirit and power of God moving over television. There is no limit to what God can do. And I believe He’s going to use this particular technology to reach this world for Christ.
At present, we are getting emails from all over the world—countries where, if the people are caught watching the network, they could be executed. That’s how bad it is. But, at the same time, that’s what the Lord is doing. In other words, while man can build a fence around a country, he cannot build a roof, and through these satellites, we are going into every country in the world.
You Are Making This Possible
No matter that the Lord has called me for world evangelism, and He most definitely has, but without you, we cannot do what God has called us to do. That’s the reason that every hour on television is precious. It must not be wasted. Every effort must be that the Lord will move and have His way in order that souls may be saved and lives may be changed. Only God can do this, and only the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus can bring it to pass. But again, I want to thank you for your prayerful support, and your financial support without which we simply would be very limited as to what we can do for our Lord and Savior.
I am imploring each of you who know how to pray, who really are intercessors before the Lord to pray for us on a daily basis. I know many of you already do, and how so much I thank you for that. But again, I’m urging all to whom God has given the ministry of intercession that you hold me up, personally, plus the entirety of this network. For that I will thank you with all that I have within me.
There Is No Limit…
Every one of us understands that there is no limit to what God can do. He is all-powerful, able to do anything and everything. That’s what was taking place when He told the great prophet Zechariah, that it was “not by might (human might), nor by power (not by human power), but by My Spirit saith the Lord of hosts” (Zech. 4:6). That word hosts actually means armies, “the Lord of armies.”
A long time ago, when I was just starting out to preach, and Frances and I had just been married, my grandmother told me, “Jimmy, God is a big God, so ask big.” I’ve never forgotten that. It has helped me to touch this world for Christ. And, to be sure, I sense the presence of the Lord even as I quote you these words that my grandmother gave to me: “God is a big God, so ask big.” And I’m urging you to do the same.
I’m asking Him for the entirety of the world, and I believe He is going to give it to us.
