October 2017 The Expositor’s Study Bible As each day goes by, and I get word of what The Expositor’s Study Bible is bringing forth (for which we give the Lord all the glory), I am more and more convinced that this is one of the greatest works in the world today. For those into whose hands it is placed, this Bible will help to keep their doctrine straight. This is most important. I’ve been all over the world, and, unfortunately, much of the time, false doctrine that comes out of America finishes up in other countries, which causes great problems. The Expositor’s Study Bible will help to address this problem. In other words, it will keep the preacher straight. I personally believe it is the Bible for the 21ST century. I can say this because it’s the Lord who told us to do this (develop this Bible), who told us how to do it, and who helped us to do it. The only negative thing about it all is that we’re getting so many calls from Third World countries that we haven’t been able to meet the need. I am certain that the Lord is equal to that task as well. Thank You… How so grateful I am for those of you who pay for one or more of these Bibles each and every month. Only the Lord knows the good that is being accomplished, for which you play a great part. To be able to do something for the Lord is special—very special. To be sure, your supplying one or more of these Bibles every month for a Third World pastor blesses not only that dear brother, but his entire congregation. What a mighty God we serve! Incidentally, as Christmas will be here before we know it, The Expositor’s Study Bible would make one of the greatest Christmas gifts in the world. So, why don’t you take care of some Christmas shopping early this year? Frances Going 12 hours a day plus, Frances very seldom has time to cook. The other night she cooked some green beans and sliced some tomatoes. To be sure, I think I’ve never tasted anything that was so good. She is an excellent cook when she has time to do so. I think I had a plate completely filled three nights running. Thankful How thankful we are to the Lord for your involvement in this ministry, and I speak of your prayerful and financial support. For me to say thank you seems to be insufficient, but you know what I mean. To be frank, we could not do what we’re doing without you. You Are Needed… There are some of you who drive in—some quite a distance—to help us with the Share-a-thon and the Biblethon, for which we are so very, very thankful. How so much I thank you for doing this. For those of you who have never tried it—those who live close enough to Baton Rouge that you could help us—you need to try it. I think you would be overly blessed. Our phone operators have prayed people through to salvation, in other words, prayed the sinner’s prayer and had the caller repeat it after them. For many of our people, when the day is ended or their time is up, there is such a feeling of warmth and goodwill knowing that they have helped people. So, the Share-a-thon and Biblethon phone operators are not just answering phones, but as well, they are dealing with human hurts. They do have something to tell these people, namely, the Lord Jesus Christ. So, if you are acquainted with this ministry through television, and you have the time to spare and are close enough that you can be with us, we need you, and I hope that you will help us. Donnie Thank you so very, very much for praying for Donnie as it regards the surgery on his back. It seems that it has worked well, and for that we are so thankful. I also want to thank the Lord for the excellent doctors and nurses who participated in this, and I especially want to thank you for your prayers. Donnie is an integral part of the work of God here at the ministry as most of you know. So, we are so very pleased that this situation seems to have been addressed, and in a positive way. Most of all, we thank the Lord for His leading and guidance and, as well, His healing touch. We love you.
