From Me to You: December 2024

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We want to wish all of you the very best Christmas you’ve ever had, and if you have the Lord Jesus Christ within your heart, it can be, irrespective of circumstances. We pray that He does live within your heart and that He is the Lord of your life so you can truly enjoy this blessed season. From our entire family, the staff of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, and the entirety of Family Worship Center, we want to say to you and yours, a very Merry Christmas! In 2024, regarding the work of God, we have seen more blessing, and I speak of every description, than we have seen in a long, long time, and I believe that it’s just the beginning. I also believe everything that the Lord does with this ministry, He is going to do the same for you who support the work of God, which is why I’m looking forward, with great anticipation, to the coming year.

UNITED KINGDOM, ECUADOR, AND CANADA

In September, we went on LCN Channel 96—Freeview Channel 96—and it was the largest launch that we’ve ever made regarding Europe. From what I understand, any home in the United Kingdom now has access to SonLife Broadcasting by way of Freeview Channel 96, far surpassing coverage that we previously had by a long shot. This effort was about three years in the making, and we’re just honored to be there. We love the English people, and we’re believing that God is going to move mightily over this great area, touching many hearts and lives. So to all of our viewers in the UK, please tell your family and friends about Freeview Channel 96. It’s a miracle that we were able to get on this channel, and we give the Lord all of the praise and the glory.

As I write this, Donnie has just returned from Ecuador, where he had phenomenal meetings. He told how, in 1985, we left where we were in El Salvador for meetings and came to Guayaquil, Ecuador, just for a brief few minutes to meet with missionaries who had trained with Brother John Bueno (we had worked closely with Brother Bueno in the building of churches, Bible schools, and some thirty schools for children). I remember our brief meeting with these missionaries in Ecuador, Jerry and Janice Smith, when they took us to see a piece of property that they wanted to buy there for the work that the Lord had called them to do. They didn’t have the $775,000 needed to buy the land. But when the Lord dealt with my heart about it, I said that we would pay for it. Of course, none of us standing there in that empty field that day could knowhow the Lord would use this. When they built their first church, they were only running about 70 people. I remember giving Brother Smith some time on our telecast in Ecuador to advertise his church, and after that, they saw attendance jump from 70 people to twice that number, and it grew steadily to where they are now—running three services every Sunday for a total of some7,000 people coming to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. We give the Lord all of the praise and all of the glory. Donnie said it right, you can’t go wrong investing in the lives of people. Praise God.

And then, just a few days from now, Donnie will be going to Canada to oversee the grand opening of our new office building there. We’re seeing a growing desire in Canada for our ministry products, and this larger facility will help us to meet that need.

FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER MEDIA CHURCH

We now have media church members in 101 countries! For those of you who look to our live services at Family Worship Center on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and Wednesday nightsfor your spiritual nourishment during the week, then we encourage you to go one step further and become a media church member. When you become a member of Family Worship Center Media Church, you are saying that you want to be a part of what God is doing. What are the qualifications to join? There is only one, and that is to be born again. We welcome new members every week, and we would be so glad to have you. Our pledge to our media church members is that we will be true to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

One question that comes up often is about tithing. So many ask the question, “Brother Swaggart, where do I owe my tithe?” The answer to that is very, very simple. Every believer owes his tithe to where his soul is being fed. No more, no less. That hits it right square on the head. If you are eating meals at a certain restaurant, and the food is good, you wouldn’t go down the street and pay another restaurant, would you? No, of course not. I’ll be a little bolder, if you will allow me to do so. If each of you associated with and a part of the Family Worship Center Media Church would pay your tithe to this ministry, it would help immeasurably so. I would so very much like for us to come to the place that we would only have to spend two days a month raising fundsinstead of four. And yet, at the same time, the Spirit of God moves in these efforts to where it doesn’t seem like fundraising, but rather a revival. That’s the way we want it, and that’s the way it is, and we thank the Lord immeasurably so. Some of you are paying your tithe to this work for which we so very much appreciate. I would pray that all of you who aren’t yet doing so would pray about it, get the mind of the Lord, and then do what He tells you to do.

OUR BUSINESS

Our business is the preaching of the gospel in order to see souls saved, lives changed, believers baptized with the Holy Spirit, and the sick healed by the mighty power of God. That’s our business. That’s what God has called us to do. And I believe the greatest harvest of souls that the world or the church has ever known, is soon to touch this world. I also believe that this ministryis going to have the privilege and opportunity of playing a part in this great move of God. And please understand, if you are a part of this ministry, then you will have a part in this great harvest as well.

Again, we want to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and may the Lord bless you abundantly so in the coming new year!

In the Master’s service, yours,
Jimmy Swaggart
